Norwegian Institute at Athens

Founded on the 8th of May 1989, the Norwegian Institute at Athens focuses on research, teaching, publication and dissemination of the scientific study of heritage, history, archaeology and language of ancient Greece, including archaeology and art of Early Christian Period. From January 2021, the Institute is managed by the University of Bergen.
The Norwegian Institute at Athens: 

1. Maintains a peer-reviewed publication series.

2. Carries out ongoing archaeological field projects. List of archaeological field projects successfully completed is available here.

3. Offers student courses in collaboration with its partner institutions in Norway.
