Christian Archaeological Society, Athens
The Christian Archaeological Society (ChAE) was founded in 1884 and is one of the oldest scientific associations in Greece. Its aim is to promote research and all other scholarly activity in the sector of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Archaeology and Art. To achieve its aims, the ChAE:
1. Publishes an annual periodical of international status, the Deltion of the Christian Archaeological Society, which is the only scientific periodical devoted exclusively to issues of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Archaeology and Art, published in Greece: https://ejournals.epublishing.ekt.gr/index.php/deltion

3. It organizes an annual spring conference, the Symposium of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Archaeology and Art: https://eproceedings.epublishing.ekt.gr/index.php/chae
4. In collaboration with the National Documentation Center (EKT), it has founded and organized an electronic publishing house aiming at an open access on line publication of high standard and peer reviewed scholarly studies in Greek on topics of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine archaeology and art: https://ebooks.epublishing.ekt.gr/index.php/chae
5. It holds conferences, lectures and other events: www.chae.org
The ChAE also deeply interested in the preservation and protection of the cultural heritage, collaborating with the responsible services of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism and scientific institutions in Greece and abroad.
