The British Museum an impressive collection of Byzantine artifacts from most parts of the Late Roman Europe. Byzantine antiquities are exhibited in: room 40: Medieval Europe, room 41: Sutton Hoo and Europe, room 49: Roman Britain, and room 66: Ethiopia and Coptic Egypt. Most of the collection's items have been thoroughly documented and are available for viewing on the website.
