The Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies in Venice is a research centre focusing on Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Greek Studies. It was founded in 1951.

The Institute:

• Highlights the historical, philological and other aspects of the Hellenic Culture during Byzantine and post-Byzantine era
• Manages the archives (analogue and digital material)
• Undertakes international scientific activities (publications, congress etc)
