The ongoing and open-access database consist of the diplomatic transcription of the texts of Greek post-Byzantine documents kept in the archives of the monasteries of Mount Athos. During the present phase, all the documents from the monasteries of Esphigmenou and Stavroniketa as well as a selection from Pantokratoros, Xeropotamou and Karakallou monasteries have been entered. The database was created by the researchers of the Institute of Historical Research-Byzantine Section of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) at Athens (Greece)(Athens, Greece) within the project "ANAVATHMIS", funded by the General Secretariat of Research and Technology (Greece).
