Lampaki Family Archive, Greece

The "Lampaki Family Archive" consists of photographic material, diaries, books, manuscripts, icons of saints, oil paintings, drawings and personal items of the Lambaki brothers. Namely:

  • Ioannis Lampakis (1850-1916), Photographer and later priest.
  • Georgiou Lampakis (1854-1914), Byzantologist , founder of the Christian Museum, ancestor and core of the current Byzantine & Christian Museum of Athens
  • Emmanuel Lampaki (1857-1909), Painter - Hagiografou.

    Regarding the display of the collection and the choice of representative ways of presentation, main concern is:
    Highlighting the social character of the collection: The contribution to the promotion and dissemination of Greek culture through the spiritual work of the Lampaki Brothers.
