Chrysothemis is an open access database of food preparation methods in Byzantium, mainly of the Byzantine recipes, cooked food called mageiriai. The database was created by the researchers of the Institute of Historical Research-Byzantine Section of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) at Athens (Greece) within the project "ANAVATHMIS", funded by the General Secretariat of Research and Technology (Greece).
